Our commission was to retaining the style which this South African dining chain has become known for in its first Mozambican flagship, while adding a modern yet local flavor.
Although all elements including all finishings needed to be designed and produced in South Africa, we drew on local artisans and materials in the design of the 600 square metre restaurant. A standalone eatery attached to the Polana hotel and casino, we introduced elements such as oversized lighting, a huge exposed wine cellar and large bar to inject the property with a sultry night club ambience – making the Meat Company, Maputo, the place to go for Mozambicans and Maputo visitors relishing a fine dining experience.
